Fat Burning Supplements

In general fat burning supplements or thermogenics, as they are sometimes known, don’t enjoy a particularly good reputation among health professionals which is unfortunate because there are some good products on the market that would likely get the tick of approval from your family doctor.

However, be cautious and avoid the handful of fat burning supplements that have been shown to contain an unhealthy amount of caffeine.

Fat Burning Supplements

Commonly dubbed “magic pills” by unscrupulous advertisers, these fat burning supplements claim to fix overweight or obesity problems overnight by speeding up the metabolism.  And if that sounds too good to be true, that’s because it is!

Instead, we suggest opting for fat burning supplements that come in the form of protein bars with healthy guarana which has been shown to speed up the metabolism naturally.  Alternatively, try good quality thermogenic protein shakes that don’t include caffeine.

There are also some herbal based fat burning supplements on the market right now which are safe and healthy but their effectiveness in promoting weight loss is unclear at this stage.

But  the best way to keep your metabolism running on high is to exercise regularly, eat six protein based snacks throughout the day, reduce your carbohydrate intake,  drink plenty of water and even start your morning with a nice, strong cup of coffee to give your metabolism a little kick-start.
