Weight Loss Tips

You can be forgiven for being totally baffled by the thousands of weight loss tips out there right now offering conflicting advice and in many cases misinformation.  So, how do you choose the good from the bad and the right from the wrong?

The only advice we can give you is to stay clear of anything that sounds too good to be true or too outrageous to be viable.  So use commonsense and ignore weight loss tips suggesting you chew gum to stop you being hungry, laugh a lot to lose calories or eat nuts with shells to fill you up.  

Similarly, stay well away from weight loss tips advising you to treat carrot cake as a serving of vegetables or eat all you want in 7 days, or, you’ll laugh at this one, eat on a BLUE plate and with a BLUE place mat because blue suppresses appetite and red and yellow increase appetite!  Yeah, right!

These weight loss tips are clearly ridiculous, far from healthy and not worth your consideration.

Here is our list of practical, healthy and failsafe weight loss tips:

    Make yourself accountable
    Walk every day
    Get support from friends and family    
   

Change habits - don’t eat mindlessly in front of the TV or keep unhealthy
rituals like pizza every Friday night or junk food fests on weekends

   

Fight food cravings by removing foods you crave (biscuits, soft drinks,
lollies, chips, ice cream) from your home and office.

    Eat regular meals — don't starve yourself 
    Watch your serving sizes  - one biscuit tastes just as good as a packet     
    Do it with a friend  

 

 Watch out for fad diets    

    Be mindful of what you are drinking
