So excited to start.. I just want to make sure my understanding is correct after the fast start and trimsition stage do you remain in the body trimming stage for the remainder of the program or do you repeat this process every 8 days?
Wish everyone well with their journey,

Hi, just done day 4 but keep having stomach pains like cramps and headaches? is this just the body craving something? hope it will pass as i’m determined to make this work!

Are you making sure you are drinking your 2-3 Litres of water each day? Headaches and stomach discomfort (due to constipation) may be a result of not getting enough fluids which is important during all phases, but especially the first phase of the program.
Similarly, make sure that you are getting the recommended serves of non- starchy carbohydrate vegetables, these will provide you with fibre which can help with protein digestion and regularity, and therefore prevent stomach discomfort.
It’s a good idea to mix up your sources of protein, making sure you get a mix of both animal and plant based protein. A high protein load could result in stomach discomfort, plant sourced protein generally has a lower protein content than animal protein so try and include some meat- free options.
Is this something you have been experiencing since starting the program or more recently? The FAST Shakes are dairy based so some people may find a bit of discomfort with having these if they are lactose intolerant, or even if they are just not used to consuming so much dairy products. With moving on to the next phases of the program we reduce the consumption of FAST Shakes so if it is the shakes that are causing this discomfort then these symptoms should subside.
If you are still experiencing this after a week please email us and we can try find a solution for you.

I’ve been on the meal replacement shakes for 2 weeks and love them however just noticed that each serve is 19.6g of Sugar !! Isn’t this extremely high as daily recommended intake is 25g and if you are having 2 shakes a day then the sugar intake seems excessive. Am I missing something ?

Day 8 for me. Weighed in this morning and have lost 2 kilos. Yay. I found the 3 day fast was quite easy, didn’t get REALLY hungry until the 3rd night. Enjoying some of the recipes too, we had Chicken Cacciatore with steamed lo starch veg last night. Yum!Determined to lose weight I am.

As these shakes are designed to be Meal Replacements rather than simply protein shakes, they do need to contain a certain amount of energy (amount of Calories) so as to provide the body with sustenance. Some of this energy/Calories is provided by carbohydrates (and sugars), some by protein and some by fats. The majority of sugars in the FAST Shakes is naturally occurring lactose (milk sugar) which is coming from the milk ingredients used in these shakes rather than added sugars. 1 cup of liquid milk for example can contain up to 13g of naturally occurring lactose (sugar).

Hi, Just wondered if banana are ok to eat.

Check out our Food Guide pdf from the top left menu as it lists all the main fruit & vegetables and how/when can have these. Bananas are a starchy fruit so you are allowed these when in the Trimsition & Bodytrimming (phases 2 & 3) of the program. Please do limit these to 3 per week. The serving size is approx 1/2 a cup (or one small sized banana).

Hello all, just joined.
I dont want to start the program right away, rather start next week. Do you know how to alter this on membership?
February 8, 2018 at 9:44 am #58424
Welcome to Bodytrim! 🙂
I should be able to manually pause the email send outs and alter your membership for a delayed start, however it will mean turning it back on manually as well. When were you looking to start the program?
Let me know and I’ll get it adjusted.

Hello Everyone, First day of my weight loss and hoping it will be as good as, the last time I was on BT. I fell off the wagon, last time and have put on more weight. I have a goal,as We are going away with a large group of motorcycle riders in September. We are traveling to Bathurst and staying there for a week. I need to lose weight, as I have a back injury and carrying extra weight isn’t a good idea. So onwards and upwards I go. Looking forward to the my new lifestyle, this time around. Here I go.

I have just started week 3 and have only lost 500grams. I am following the plan exactly, should I have been seeing more of a weight loss?

The amount of weight lost initially will vary from person to person as it depends on several factors.
How was your diet previous to starting the program? Those who have substantially reduced their overall food intake since starting the program are likely to lose a more significant amount of weight. For the people that lose less, it is usually because they already had a relatively low overall food intake, so the difference in food intake was less dramatic making the initial weight loss less.
Are you constipated at all? When we alter our diet there may be changes in regularity which can take a while for the body to readjust. We hold onto this weight and it shows on the scales. Eating more fibre-rich foods and drinking more fluids can help the body to normalise again.
The Bodytrim way of eating can be quite a change for some people and it can take a few weeks for the body to get into balance and begin to shift the weight. If you are not used to eating small regular meals it can be your metabolism that needs a bit of time to adjust and kick into gear. It can also be your hormones which need to balance out as you change your eating, to allow you to start burning fat.
Another thing that may be worth pointing out which has caused some confusion is that the shakes are meal replacements and are only designed to be used in place of a meal (not to be used as snacks). They are also designed to be mixed in water only – adding other ingredients may significantly bump up the calorie content effecting weight loss.
There are many people who do find the first few weeks are slow but go on to lose weight successfully, the key is to stay consistent and check you are compliant. You may find it helpful and encouraging to keep a food and exercise diary, and weigh yourself only once a week.
A few things to keep in mind are:
Free Meal days – what you choose on these days can slow things down depending on how ‘free’ you go. We recommend 1 free meal per week once you reach the Bodytrimming phase. Try to keep an eye on your portion size for free meals, the first 2-3 bites are always the best so enjoy whatever it is you feel like or miss, but make sure the amount you have isn’t more than you need.
Sauces, condiments and cooking oils are a way for extra calories to sneak in. Try to bake, boil, steam and grill foods to avoid using cooking oil where possible, and if cooking in a fry pan, aim for 1 tsp of oil only. For condiments, sauces and salad dressings aim for 1 tsp of high sugar sauces. Also keep this in mind for any marinades you may use. Herbs and spices are a great way to add flavour without the need to add to many extra condiments.
We hope this may help to shed some light.
