Low-carb substitutes tips

Craving carb – dense foods? Things like pasta, pizza and potato chips? Here are our top 5 low- carb substitutes to ensure you don’t have to miss out on the meals you love.

Tacos – Try stuffing those tasty taco fillings into a lettuce or kale leaf. You can also try adapting this idea to your lunch time sandwiches or wraps!

Hamburgers – Mushrooms- who would have thought? They make the best low carb substitute for those heavy hamburger buns. Roast them in the oven for a few minutes or leave them fresh.

Potato Chips – When you’re in need of a delicious chip try chopping up some carrots or turnips. Add a small sprinkle of olive oil, your favourite spices and pop them in the oven.

Pizza – Cauliflower is one of our favourite low- carb substitutes. Don’t be afraid to make your own dough, the taste is well worth it!

Spaghetti – There are a number of fantastic options for those of us who don’t want to give up spaghetti. Our favourite is zucchini noodles ‘Zoodles’. Ready in minutes and super tasty.
